Per NCAA rules you can report attendance in 3 ways officially.
    1. actual
    2. tickets sold
    3. estimate.
No longer eating crow for saying "The TO is gone get over it!!"

Yeah, I get that, but why are we seemingly the only ones reporting Actual? I don’t hate it, just curious, especially since others are playing fast and loose with the Estimates.

You're not the only ones. App's game against CCU was a complete sellout - both reserved and GA seats (including some added SRO space). Thunderstorms rolled through the mountains before the game, and the announced attendance ended up being less than capacity because parents didn't want to spend parents' weekend standing in the rain.

GaState must use the "estimate" method. Last time we played there, they announced multiple thousands in attendance when there were so few of them I could count them from the visitor's side.

I agree it makes us look bad, but we can go to the bowl committees and show them real fans and real numbers.

Because whomever makes that decision is stupid.

'Do Right' means nothing in FBS.

If we don't start playing this right, we will suffer.

We should absolutely report sell-out attendance every single time.

If others are playing that card, we should too. "Do right" is a good motto, but it won't impress potential sponsors or potential recruits.

Sponsorships are important. If a sponsor is gonna pay good $$$$ to stick their brand in a stadium, are they gonna go for the one with published figures of 15K or 23k? Does anyone think for a second they ever take time to physically come to the stadiums and compare? NO.

Those figures are important. We need to cheat too. "Do right" in this case just means "lose gracefully."

(I really believe Gag is capitalizing on this. All sponsors see is "major metro area stadium with average attendance of 21K." I guarantee they will throw money at that without ever taking time to make a trip to our stadium and compare it to Gags.)

There is zero upside in being honest in a game where every other contender cheats.
